Do I have to leave a deposit?
To secure and confirm your order, we kindly ask for a 50% deposit upon ordering, with the remainder due on the pick-up or delivery date. We accept Interac transfer & cash at your convenience. Orders will not be confirmed or started until the deposit has been received. Holiday orders and last minute orders (one week or less to pick-up/delivery date) must be paid in full. Deposits are non-refundable.
How far in advance do I need to place my order?
We request a minimum of one week notice for custom items. However, you can let us know weeks or months in advance!
But what if I need a cake order within the week!?
We can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to fulfill your order, as custom inquiries are baked to order, but shoot us an e-mail to see if we can accommodate your treats. Hey, it’s worth a shot!
Do you offer wedding tastings?
Absolutely! Your wedding day is a remarkable milestone and we want to make sure that everything runs perfectly for you—from the service, to the design, & of course— the taste! To start we ask that you provide us with 3 flavor profiles that you are interested in along with some reference for design inspiration. Wedding cake consultations start at $60, 50% of which is deducted from the final wedding cake cost.
How do I store my cake after pick up before my big event?
We highly suggest keeping the cake refrigerated until about 1.5-2 hours prior to serving. The optimal way to serve and cut our cakes is when they are at room temperature.
What is the best way to transport a cake?
The optimal way to transport one of our cakes is by keeping it on a flat surface (i.e. the floor of the car or in the trunk) in a cool car. We highly suggest keeping the AC running on those scorching days!
Does Maison Halwa offer anything besides cake?
We do! We currently offer dessert and pastry catering for all events and celebrations. Please send us an inquiry regarding your next event. Please include the date, time, guest count, and theme (if) in your e-mail.
I don’t see my favorite cake flavors/styles on your menu, can you accommodate the flavor profile to something I would like?
Absolutely! We pride ourselves in the unique flavors/styles that we work with and are always up for a challenge. Depending on availability, we can work together to find the best cake for your event.
LATE POLICY—
If orders are not picked up in the timeframe stated, they will be donated to a local charity or family in need without refund.
